NYC: Scoop – The Play
March 22 @ 7:00 PM
An event every week that begins at 7:00pm on Sunday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, repeating until March 24, 2018
March 15-25 | Roy Arias Stages, 777 8th Ave., New York, NY.
SCOOP is an original Israeli play that explores how far people will go for their loved ones and personal interests when faced with tough moral dilemmas. It uses the backdrop of the Israeli Jewish-Arab conflict as a catalyst to the plot but doesn’t go into politics. The second act reveals the aftermath of the choices made by the characters, and their tragic irreversible consequences.
The Israeli Artists Project (IAP) is a new theater group formed by Yoni Vendriger and Mor Cohen. It comprises an array of multidisciplinary Israeli theater creatives and performers, with the ultimate goal of showcasing more Israeli theater works in New York, performed in their original language (Hebrew). Each play will be performed both in Hebrew and English alternately by the same cast.
Scoop, written by Yair Packer, and directed by renowned NYC theater persona Charlotte Cohen, is IAP’s first production.
Starring: Mor Cohen, Michael Einav, Galit Felner, Ron Orlovsky, Eden Rubinpour, Yoni Vendriger.
