NYC: Yom Ha Shoah Day of Rememberance
April 23 @ 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM
In observance of Yom HaShoah, the Museum presents New York’s Annual Gathering of Remembrance.
More than 2,000 people, including survivors and their families, elected officials, and other members of the community join in a memorial service that fulfills the sacred Jewish obligation to remember. Holocaust survivors participate with their children and grandchildren in a moving and symbolic candle-lighting ceremony that physically demonstrates the importance and power of passing memories from one generation to the next.
The Annual Gathering of Remembrance will take place on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at 2 P.M. at Temple Emanu-El in Manhattan (Fifth Avenue at East 65th Street). Seating is limited and we encourage you to reserve your tickets early.
Tickets reservations will begin on February 15, 2017. A voluntary donation of $36 is recommended per person, but any donation will help to defray the cost of the event. Tickets must be reserved by April 7.
