Holocaust Art Restitution: Recent Cases and the Impact of New Legislation
The recent enactment of the Holocaust Expropriated Art Recovery (HEAR) Act has potentially breathed new life into claims for restitution of works of art looted by the Nazi war machine. In an art-rich visual presentation, Ray Dowd will provide background of history’s greatest art theft and give us a tour of some of the cases that continue to create controversy in our federal and state courts.
Refreshments will be served.
